Our Story

It was out of necessity that STIR Sweetener was created. My body was not processing sugar well and I was becoming insulin resistant. Faced with the terrifying realization that I would soon have to give up sweets I set out to find an alternative to sugar. A task that seemed simple at first, until I dug a little deeper into the yellow, pink, and even green packages. Chemicals. Gut biome destroyers. Metabolism disruption. Horrific aftertaste. Non-nutritive sweeteners in pretty packaging. It was a hard no on all available options.

Tasting and testing furiously, I set off to create my own. Searching the world for organic plant based ingredients until I had a blend that met my standards of flavor, nutrition, and applied usage. Then, I did what seemed impossible at the beginning of this journey - gave up sugar to exclusively use STIR and broke my sugar habit.

When I saw how well my body reacted I sent samples to food industry professionals from chefs to food scientists to test for themselves and they confirmed my excitement. STIR Sweetener works like regular sugar cup for cup in applications from baking and food manufacturing to food service and mixology with no aftertaste. It doesn’t change the flavor of your favorite beverage, baked goods, or other treats.
